Brad Peters
Drilling Engineer Manager
Brad holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on water resources and spent over ten years as a consulting engineer on public works projects. Brad has worked in the geothermal industry since 2010. He started his career in the geothermal industry as a drilling engineer. For the first nine years, Brad focused on drilling programs for exploration, development and production work. Brad started working for Open Mountain Energy in 2019 as project manager for Star Peak Geothermal. Since joining Open Mountain Energy, Brad oversaw construction of the Star Peak Geothermal power plant, and led the engineering, procurement and construction team building interconnection facilities for the regional electricity purveyor. Brad has drilling experience in high-enthalpy fields like Puna, Hawaii and low-enthalpy fields throughout the state of Nevada. Brad also has experience in international drilling operations in Honduras and Guatemala. Open Mountain Energy purchased a drill rig in November 2021. Brad is currently head of Open Mountain Energy’s drilling division as drilling engineer manager.
