Job description
The Accounting and Procurement Specialist will assist the drilling team with accounts payable and procurement processing for goods and services.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists with records, receipts, and invoices in the reconciliation of the drilling accounts
- Review invoices for accuracy
- Data entry of into accounting system
- Maintain records as required
- Provide customer service to incoming inquires
- Perform additional tasks and projects as needed from drilling and procurement managers
- Research vendors and collects prices, specifications, and other data related to goods and services
- Other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong data entry skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in “Accounting”
Preferred Knowledge Areas and Experience:
- One (1) year of account payables experience
- One (1) year experience in negotiation for procurement of materials
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information
- Remains in a sedentary position for long periods working on a computer
- Work in an Office environment
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Use repeating motions that may include the wrist, hands, and/or fingers
- Must travel to various locations on occasionally
- Must operate a company vehicle occasionally
